Reflections on Coaching Co-Leaders
As the world is currently grappling with the rise and impact of authoritarian leadership, we must remember to celebrate other leadership styles that pursue and emphasize inclusivity, equity, and collaboration. One of these styles is co-leadership. Given this is a distinct leadership style, it benefits from a distinct coaching approach.
Forest as Gathering
In May 2024, a group of 30 activists and team members of Women’s Fund Asia gathered for a conversation on strategy and relationship-building as part of Women’s Fund Asia celebration of resourcing 20 years of feminist activism in Asia. Turning Up the Volume to Our Resistance: Launching the Music of Our Movements Studio
Afro-feminists hymns, rock songs, and vulva curses vibrate from the festival stage. Ukelele strums, tabla beats, and spoken word rhythms float across the crowd, with voices joining in song and bodies moving in flow. This is the Music of our Movements, Closer Than You Think’s new studio project, launched in December 2024 at the Association for Women’s Rights in Development Forum in Bangkok.
